Canada, US cinemas to premier 'Columbus'

Iranian comedy movie 'Columbus' has been scheduled to be premiered in Canada, the US and Iran simultaneously.

Directed by Hatef Ali-Mardani, the new comedy flick is announced to go on screen in Iranian cinemas starting from the final days of November. The film will also be publicly screened at some cinema halls in Canada and the US.

'Columbus', a film that was shot in both Iran and the US, is said to be a different type of comedy with many well-known actors from the comedy genre.

Some of the cast members of the Iranian comedy are already familiar names to ifilm viewers. Hanieh Tavassoli, for example has been in a number of series aired by the channel such as 'Vafa', 'The Forbidden Fruit' and 'Shams-ol-Emareh'.

Farhad Aslani, Saeed Pour-Samimi, Shabnam Moqaddami, and Majid Salehi are some other well known names that have appeared in the new comedy.
